Waste Electrical and Electronic
Regulations
The Waste Electrical and
Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive is now UK law. The legislation aims to
make producers pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste
electrical equipment. The regulations also mean that suppliers of equipment
like high street shops and internet retailers must allow consumers to return
their waste equipment free of charge.The amount of WEEE we throw away is increasing by around 5% each year, making
it the fastest growing waste stream in the UK. Recycling reduces the
environmental and health risks associated with sending electrical goods to
landfill.We are obliged under these regulations to offer our customers free take-back of
their WEEE on a like-for-like basis when they buy a new Electrical or
Electronic product from us. Customers must return their like-for-like WEEE item
to us within 28 days of purchasing their new item. Under the WEEE Regulations,
all new electrical goods should be marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin
symbol and be disposed of separately from normal household waste.

Arcam certainly leap-frogged the competition and exceeded all expectations when they recently launched their flagship AVR600 AV receiver to mass critical acclaim; firmly cementing them at the very forefront of high-end British home cinema and providing us with a new standard by which other AV receivers should be judged... and that was merely the beginning!

Naturally the unit also supports Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital+, Dolby Digital EX, Dolby Pro Logic IIx, DTS HD Master Audio, DTS High Resolution Audio, DTS-ES Discrete, DTS-ES Matrix, DTS96/24, DTS Neo:6 and has options for up to 3 zones (2 variable and one fixed) as well as the obligatory RS232, 12 volt triggers & IP control over Ethernet for custom installation purposes.
I could go on, but that would be to neglect the most important aspect of this systems credentials - that is its absolutely jaw-droppingly good audio performance! Never has home cinema sounded this good or this real and never has an AV product sounded so competent as a high-end hi-fi prospect. Such is its abilities that both the AV888 and P777 have taken up permanent residence in our reference digital cinema - an honour that is bestowed upon only a handful of products that can adequately define themselves simply as 'the best'.
